2023: Why Obi Can't Solve Nigeria's Security Problems — Oshiomhole
A former national chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole, says Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has failed to tackle insecurity in Anambra State as a as Governor, therefore he does not have the capacity to resolve the insecurity in Nigeria.
Mr. Oshiomole made the claim on Sunday during a speech at the APC Youth Summit in Abuja.
Mr. Obi, who served as governor of Anambra State from 2006 to 2014, has vowed to prioritize tackling insecurity and fixing the economy if elected president next year
>The former governor is remarkably popular among Nigerian youth on social media, although his record as governor of Anambra has been repeatedly attacked by opponents.
Mr. Obi will face Bola Tinubu of the ruling party, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the PDP and several others in the February presidential election.
Mr. Oshiomhole, a former governor of Edo state, said Mr Obi's successor, Willie Obiano, had to embark on the forcible removal of the kidnappers from the state because the former failed to fight against insecurity.
He bases his claims on videos posted on YouTube.
"For those of you who are social media warriors, go to Google and watch the first six months of Governor Obiano's administration in Anambra State. What you will find on YouTube, is that Governor Obiano uses bulldozers to demolish the homes of kidnappers and those involved in the Bakassi boys and Bakassi girls.

Mr. Oshiomhole also criticized the LP candidate's credentials in the field of economic development.
“He calls himself a trader, what job does he do? Import or export? What does it matter? Find. You know those who brutalize the economy,” he said.
