CAN 2025: CAF inspects Nigeria facilities

Confederation of African Football (CAF) inspectors have inspected Nigeria's proposed facilities for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Nigeria has submitted a joint bid with neighboring Benin Republic to host the biennial competition.

The CAF team inspected Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba and Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos.

Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City and Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna were also inspected by the team.

The team was accompanied by officials from the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).

The inspectors will also visit Stade Charles de Gaulle, Porto Novo in the Republic of Benin.

Recall that Nigeria co-hosted the CAN 2000 final with Ghana.
