4Front Ventures Corp. FFNT FFNTF has announced the launch of its first California cannabis brand, Island Cannabis Co., in Massachusetts. Following the company's acquisition of Island Global Holdings, Inc., a California-based producer of pre-rolls, flowers and concentrates, the company began growing 11 new varieties of island flowers at its facility in Holliston, Georgetown and Worcester, Mass.< /p>
Island's 11 new strains include: Project 4516; The number; Banana Puddintain; Garlic Z; star 91; Mimosa; London Pound Mints; TK-43; Wonka bars; cookies and cream; and Raisins and Cream. Each strain has been hand selected for its genetic lineage, terpene profile and potency. The new Island strains are available exclusively at 4Front Mission Dispensaries in Georgetown, Worcester and Brookline, Cannabis Business Times reported.
In the coming weeks, new Island strains are expected to arrive at partner dispensaries across the Bay State.
Leo Gontmakher, CEO of 4Front, said: "Following our acquisition of Island earlier this year, we moved quickly to strategically bring the best of the brand to our customers, and I couldn't be happier with the speed and efficiency with which our team was able to deliver these California fan favorites to consumers in Massachusetts."
He added that with the launch of Island in the Bay State, they are confident that "even the pickiest cannabis connoisseurs will fall in love with these strains and that, overall, the brand will create a loyal following, just as it did in the Golden State."
The company will soon be bringing other high-quality floral products from the island to Massachusetts in "the very near future, including larger format flower offerings and pre-rolls and pre-rolls best-selling brews on the island in single packs and multipacks."
4Front President of Massachusetts Operations and Island Co-Founder Brandon Mills said they took the "operational best practices that our team has learned over the years grown and manufactured in California, and married them with expertise at our facilities in Holliston, Georgetown and Worcester."
