Abiodun mourns the death of Nigeria's Ambassador to Spain, Seriki

Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun has mourned the death of Nigeria's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, Ademola Seriki.

Seriki, former Minister of State for Defense and leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party in Lagos State, died on Thursday morning at the age of 63.

Abiodun, in a statement by his chief press secretary, Kunle Somorin, on Friday expressed his grief over the death of the diplomat, whom he described as an astute politician and accomplished administrator.

He said that as Nigeria's Ambassador to Spain, the deceased worked tirelessly for symbiotic bilateral relations with the European nation.

Abiodun added that the late Seriki would be remembered for his progressive politics in Lagos State where he was hailed, in particular, and in Nigeria in general.

While sympathizing with the immediate family of the late Ambassador, Lagos APC, his friends and associates, the Governor also prayed to God to grant them the courage to be the irreparable loss.

He further noted that the late Seriki will be dearly missed by the APC family, but will live on in the memory of the people as a smooth-looking, cool and calculated politician.

Abiodun, however, prayed that his soul would have respite and continue to live in the bosom of the Lord.
