…says there will always be bread in Aso's rock

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, lamented the rise in the price of bread, airfares and the seventh national grid meltdown in recent months.

He revealed that despite the economic challenge facing many, Nigeria's seat of power, Aso Rock, would not feel it, pointing out that there would always be bread and electricity there.

Adeboye made the revelation on Sunday during the church's monthly thanksgiving service, which also commemorated Nigeria's 62nd independence, which was watched by our correspondent.

The clergyman was delivering a sermon "Perfect Peace in the Land", from II Chron.7:13-14.

Our correspondent reports that recently major cities in the country, including Gombe State, witnessed a power outage following the seventh national grid collapse.

According to Adeboye, the country's situation could only be resolved through intercession and not condemnation as many are currently doing.

The general overseer said, “Pray for the leaders, we spent so much time criticizing them. You should pray for them. I pray for them, I pray that you join me in praying.

"No matter how much the bread costs, there will be bread in the rock of Aso. No matter the collapse, there will be light in the rock of Aso,” Adeboye added.

He lamented the cost of airfare, noting that it has become extremely expensive to travel.

The attendant added that he was told the ticket from Lagos to Abuja became around 250,000 Naira, saying it was around 60,000 Naira. I asked what happened and they told me."
