Adelabu chooses Accord Guber ticket at Oyo
Former All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial aspirant, leader Adebayo Adelabu, has officially declared that he is pursuing his gubernatorial ambition under the Accord Party platform.
Adelabu left the APC with more than 5,000 supporters from all 33 local government areas in the state.
The Nigerian Tribune recalls that Adelabu boycotted the APC primaries held at Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, which saw the emergence of Senator Teslim Folarin as the party's gubernatorial candidate for the elections in 2023.
After calling the outcome of the primaries unacceptable, Adelabu decided to pursue his gubernatorial ambition on the platform of the Accord Party.
The party, in its effort to repair the fences, has set up a reconciliation committee headed by Senator Femi Lanlehin.
The committee met with aggrieved members, but their efforts to reconcile with Adelabu and his supporters failed.
