Adeleke University gets green light from NUC to run 15 more programs
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given approval to Adeleke University, Ede, Osun State, to run 15 additional full-time fashion programs; 10 in undergraduate frames and five in postgraduate frames respectively.
According to a letter to the Vice Chancellor from the commission's director of academic planning, Dr. Biodun Saliu, the approval follows a resource verification visit by a panel of experts from the National Commission for universities (NUC) to the institution.
The letter outlined the following 10 undergraduate programs and five additional postgraduate programs to be run at the institution's main campus beginning with the 2023/2024 academic session.

The 10 undergraduate programs include a B.Sc Office and Information Management, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Information System, Software Engineering, Food Science and Nutrition and Finance, as well as a B.Eng. Chemical Engineering and Computer Engineering.
The other five postgraduate programs are the Doctorate in Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Law.
The letter, which noted that the approval did not cover the mode of delivery of part-time programs, added that "programs will bear only the approved titles and nomenclature and any changes will require the approval of the commission. ”
The commission therefore instructed the institution to provide adequate and material resources for the development and advancement of the approved programs.
