Ajaokuta Steel Complex, other challenges will be solved by PDP - Atiku

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said on Saturday that if the Kogi vote for him in the presidential polls in February, the Ajaokuta steel complex and other people's challenges would be resolved and go down in history.

Abubakar made the promise while addressing a massive crowd at Kogi Confluence Stadium, the venue for the PDP presidential campaign rally in Lokoja.

The PDP presidential candidate, who was accompanied by his running mate Dr. Ifeayi Okowa and other PDP stalwarts in the state, described Kogi as a PDP state.

"I understand that APC came to trick you in 2015 to put your votes in terrible situations. But I assure you that if you vote for me and PDP, you will not regret it.

"If you vote for me this time, Ajaokuta Steel's comatose complex and your other challenges will be a thing of the past.

"I want to ensure that there will be no more arrears of wages and that I will give jobs and businesses, to put an end to idleness and suffering

“Going for months with nothing to do after college graduation will be a thing of the past as we plan to invest $10 million to launch young men into businesses/enterprises,” he said. he assured.

Abubakar added, "we are not here to deceive you as we are serious with this campaign for your votes to deliver you good governance if you elect the PDP to power in 2023."

Previously, the State Chairman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC), Alh Ibrahim Wada, received dozens of returnees led by Mr. Simon Asuba, former Deputy Governor of Yahaya Bello.

Asuba, however, told the crowd that he and other returnees had to leave the ruling APC because it failed to deliver on its promises to the Kogi people.

"Today, Kogi faces many challenges, including salary arrears, poverty, insecurity and unemployment, among others

“We want Nigeria to be saved and to move forward for the good of all Nigerians,” he said.
