Matthew Hutchins' settlement in his wrongful death lawsuit against Alec Baldwin and others from the 'Rust' set means production is back on...but that doesn't mean the criminal investigation into course on the death of the D.P. is coming to a halt.
Sources connected to the investigation told TMZ...the settlement will in no way affect the criminal investigation...one in which authorities say Baldwin and others could be charged.< /p>
The sheriff's department tells TMZ that once the investigation is complete, the case will be forwarded to the district attorney, who will then decide who, if anyone, will be prosecuted.

As noted, Baldwin et al. pick up where they left off in the film that cost Halyna Hutchins her life last year -- because the actor is continuing in his starring role...and the other cast members will continue as well.
