AMIS Students Take Primary Mock Exam at Oyo

The Association of Islamic Model Schools of Nigeria (AMIS), Oyo State Chapter, on Saturday held the 10th edition of the Mock Primary Examination for students in its member schools in all 33 government areas state local.

AMIS Secretary General in the State who also serves as Chief Examiner Mr Dhulkifli Olabiyi in a message to all candidates said the purpose of the exam was to prepare them to outstanding performance in external examinations.

Olabiyi said the annual review also aims to unite all AMIS schools for the promotion of Islamic heritage.

Twelve thousand candidates from across the state were tested in math, quantitative reasoning, basic science and technology, computer science, English, verbal reasoning, Islamic studies, and general studies.

According to the chief examiner, the reports of the control teams of all the centers were satisfactory because there were no cases of professional misconduct or any other inappropriate behavior on the part of the candidates or their supervisors.

In his pep talk before the start of the exam at Bashorun Islamic High School, Ibadan, one of the centers in Lagelu Local Government Area, Olabiyi said, "The exams give us the opportunity to test our knowledge and understand how much we have learned.They are an integral part of the life of any student.

While explaining to students that preparing for any exam is almost as important as the exam itself, he said that "studying for exams motivates us to do well and move forward in life.

"This mock exam marks the end of another amazing chapter in your life. With that chapter closed, I'm sure many of you are already anxious to begin the next because, unlike a English book, you can't skip the page of life to see what's in the next chapter.

"We all have our book of life that has not yet been written and each passing day is another page we write about ourselves.

"Fortunately, as students of AMIS member schools, you have been given the paper and the ink. You have to write your own stories and with the help of Almighty God, your stories will become best -sellers,” said the Chief Examiner.

He asked students to refrain from any malpractice in the exam, saying "if there is anything to avoid as students, it is malpractice in the exam. It can kill your self-confidence.

“You have worked hard for your exam, so do your best. Keep calm and be positive. Have faith in God. Keep achieving and making us proud. I am sure you will pass this exam with flying colors. "

He revealed that the fifth annual mock exam for middle school students 3, also organized by the association, will take place on April 1 and 8.
