APC chief denounces Wike, says Amaechi lured N78b, others at Rivers
All Progressives Congress (APC) leader Eze Chukwumemeka Eze has denied claims by Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike that former transport minister Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi did not attract any projects in the Rivers State.
Eze pointed out that the N78 billion windfall, which Wike received from the Federal Government, was facilitated by the former Minister, recalling that the money was withheld by the administration of former President Goodluck Goodluck Jonathan, in which the incumbent governor served.< /p>
He said, "Amaechi's presence in the presidency restored the $10 billion NLNG 7 train that was also stalled, as well as the release of nearly $400 million from the $1 billion fund. dollars from UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) in Ogoni.”
Wike had, at the inauguration of the rebuilt old Riv-Bank Insurance building in Port Harcourt last Monday, berated Amaechi, saying "a man, who has failed to attract projects to his state and had shown poor leadership in his party, APC, should hide his face in shame and refrain from talking about Rivers' politics."
