APC has better picks for Kwara National Assembly seats, says Group

A socio-cultural organization of Igbomina indigenous people in Kwara State, Orisun Igbomina, has said that the personalities presented to the seats of the National Assembly by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state are the best to provide quality representation to the population and contribute to problems that disrupt the socio-economic development of the country.

Speaking on the sidelines of a special prayer for the party's candidate for the House of Representatives for Ilorin East and South Federal Constituency, Mallam Ahmed Yinka Aluko by the Aluko family at their ancestral home in Ikokoro, Ilorin, Chief of APC and General Chairman of Orisun Igbomina, Chief Gbenga Awoyale, said APC candidates have the required experience, track record of excellence and community impact.

The community leader also said that the candidates' qualities gave the APC an edge over other political parties.

"I can say unequivocally that Ahmed Yinka Aluko is the best man for the position of Ilorin East/South Reps. significantly to the security problems that have always plagued our country.

"Not just for Aluko alone, APC has made the best of choices in selecting its candidates for the National Assembly; Senate and House of Representatives.

"You can testify to the political tension that Saliu Mustapha's candidacy is causing all opposition parties due to the impact he has had on people outside the civil service. It gives people the assurance that he will do even more if he is mandated to represent them in the red chamber.

"Also look at Muktar Shagaya, he is a dynamic young man with a good pedigree, whose family name is synonymous with community development and philanthropy. With such candidates, you have a balance between experience, empathy and inclusion of young people in representative government.

"All the other candidates returning to the National Assembly have been certified 'Ok' by their people, they have supported the governor in his vision of a better Kwara and I believe that with this team, Kwara has many better chances of socio-economic and political development in the next political dispensation”.

Awoyale has instructed Kwarans to vote for the APC at all levels in the 2023 elections to maintain the pace of good governance and quality representation the party is synonymous with.
