APC launches youth campaign council

All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth (NYL) Leader Dayo Israel announced the launch of the APC National Youth Wing Campaign Council Directions.

The council will assist in the implementation of the strategies and tactics developed to give the APC a comprehensive, youth-led victory in the 2023 general election.

In a statement, Israel said the formation of the council followed proper consultation with the national leadership of the APC and other key stakeholders, including young zone leaders, young leaders of the 'State, among others.

The team, which will also serve as Elections Officer, includes Segun Omoworare (Director), Abubakar Fakai (Deputy Director), Zainab Galadima (Deputy Director), Lulu Fawehinmi (Deputy Director) and Oluwaseun Adeleke (Secretary).Others are, Dr. Fabong, Leonard Okafor, Comrade Igwebuike Tochukwu, Dr. Cyril Oshiomhole, Olumuyiwa Adebayo, Abayomi Popoola and Peter Adeshina, as members.

He said the party was fulfilling his obligations as the national youth leader of the APC and head of its youth wing, adding that article 14.22 of the party constitution clearly entrusts the mobilization of youth for achievement of party goals, including election victory, at NYL.

"Like any responsible leader, I appreciate the precious importance of this obligation and am fully prepared to uphold it as our party makes its case to Nigerians across the country in various elective positions including the chair with Asiwaju as standard bearer.

“The council will serve as the implementation committee for the APC’s national youth wing blueprint, which outlines the strategies and tactics developed to give the party a comprehensive, youth-driven victory in 2023.

"The master plan received the endorsement of our leader and presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in August when it was submitted to him by the Wing leadership.

“The CPA National Youth Wing Campaign Council hopes to work with other relevant campaign structures and bodies such as the Presidential Campaign Council and the ICC to ensure the success of the election of our party."

“Notwithstanding, stakeholders and campaign structures interested in engaging the official youth wing structure of the party are strongly advised to channel all communications through the Office of the National Youth Leader and president of the youth wing of the APC.

"I commend the board members, all of whom were selected in recognition of their dedication to the party, the grassroots network, and the essential need to provide them with a platform to demonstrate their ability.

"Service in the Council is voluntary, and members, comprising party youth and other prominent youth actors in all sectors, will serve in various sub-units such as the "army" of Jagaban, Asiwaju's "air force" and BAT's "envoy".

“Our Jagaban Army soldiers will conduct door-to-door base mobilization exercises; Asiwaju Airforce captains will dominate the airwaves and coordinate media activities; BAT's Envoy Ambassadors will coordinate and manage public relations.

"I encourage all who are called to serve to do so with diligence and strong commitment, bearing in mind the enormity of the responsibility entrusted to them and its special importance for victory and future of our party and our country."< /p>
