APC Youth Group Advocates for Senate President Zoning in Northwest

All-Progressives Congress, (APC) North West Youth, called on President-elect Ahmed Bola Tinubu, Vice-President-elect Kashim Shettima, party leadership and stakeholders to zone the seat of the President of the North-West Senate.

Young people said that zoning the seat of the President of the Senate to the North West becomes imperative, given the active participation of the region and its contribution to the victory of the party in the presidential election which has just taken place. end.

The APC youth group said they have observed that the party is taking too long to deliberate over which region should hold the Senate Speaker seat, as the region has competent APC legislators who have been re-elected and may occupy the seat.

In a statement from CPA North West Youth Leader, Hon. Abdulhamid Umar Moh'd (Oscar), he explained that the North-West remains a major stronghold of the APC in the country's geopolitical scheme, followed by the South-West, North-East, Center-North, South -South and Southeast.

According to him, it is necessary to compensate the northwestern region with the seat of the president of the senate because of the votes and support gathered in the region.

“We gave the elected president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the highest number of votes. their civic obligation and elected president-elect will be glad to be overwhelmed if the Senate presidential seat is zoned northwest.

"We have observed that the party has been deliberating for quite some time on the zoning of the seat of the President of the Senate, there is no need to deliberate on this, judging by the classification, the APC has senators people from the North West. Some have been in the National Assembly since 1999 and are doing very well in dealing with matters concerning the whole country. We also have senators who are returning for the third time to the Senate and who are competent enough to speak at the upcoming 10th senate.

"For the sake of fairness and equity, the South West produced the President-Elect, the North East produced the Vice President-Elect while the Party President is from the Centre-North, and the North -West gave the largest block of votes and support which ensured the victory of the party deserves compensation.

"We therefore urge the party leadership and the president and vice president-elect to zone the senate president's seat to the northwest, this will solicit tremendous support and confidence from the APC leadership by our voters from across the geopolitical area who turned out in droves to secure victory for our great party.”
