Hoping to fight their way through to the play-offs on Sunday night, Eibar will host Huesca at Ipurua Municipal Stadium.

Starting with the hosts, who finally suffered a heartbreak in Cartagena last weekend, there's no doubt that Eibar will be looking for an immediate answer here. However, while Gaizka Garitano's men may have seen their six-game unbeaten streak come to an abrupt end last time out, Los Armeros are desperate to secure a return to La Liga this season. Opening this weekend's fixtures with just their goal difference keeping them out of the play-off places, the former Athletic Bilbao boss will be happy to return home on Sunday night. In fact, Eibar are yet to suffer a single Segunda defeat at the Ipurua Municipal Stadium since the opening of the 2022/23 campaign. After claiming a 3-1 victory in their last encounter against Huesca in July, Garitano's men should smell an opportunity this weekend.

As for the visitors, while Huesca may have been last seen snatching a 0-0 draw at home to Gijon last weekend, this result doesn't cover that which was a long failure. Having to settle for a disappointing endgame last season, it looks like Cuco Ziganda's men are still a long way from mounting any sort of promotion load. Exiting the Copa del Rey on November 13 following a shock loss to lower league side Torremolinos, the Azulgranas have recorded just one win from one of their last five attempts. Likewise, having scored just one goal in their previous four Segunda outings, Huesca will know they face a real challenge this weekend. After suffering a deserved 3-1 loss when they hosted Eibar at El Alcoraz in July, we expect a similar result here.
