Book lovers welcome! It's that time of year to get cozy and feast on the scrumptious literary offerings for the year ahead.

We've rounded up some of the top titles of 2023 (apologies to those who missed the cut, but this article might have lasted longer than War and peace).

First of all, it's the memoirs and we start the year with the autobiography of a certain Prince Harry, Spare, a reference to the phrase "the heir and successor", it is assumed.

It is planned to include the prince's full story behind his decision to give up his royal duties and move to the United States (although after Oprah and a six-hour documentary on Netflix, how much more can there be left to reveal?)

Though it promises "raw and unflinching honesty", we'll have to wait and see how many bridges it burns in the UK when it's released. Released January 10, Penguin.

Other noteworthy biographies include that of acclaimed children's author and poet Michael Rosen, who shares his story and lessons of life in Getting Better. If anyone knows how to build resilience, it's Rosen, who here explores both her grief at losing a child and her long battle with Covid-19.
