Buhari hails former agriculture minister Ogbeh at 75

The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (Retired), on Wednesday joined leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress to celebrate with former Minister of Agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh, his 75th birthday, July 28, 2022.

In a statement signed by his special adviser on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, Buhari hailed the political leader, whose profile reflects his dedication to nation building.

The statement is titled “President Buhari welcomes Chief Audu Ogbeh at 75”.

According to Adesina, "The President notes the wisdom, courage and visionary leadership of Chief Ogbeh, who started under the Second Republic as a legislator and was later appointed Federal Minister of Communication, and has always remained in front line of political developments and governance in the country.

“As the former Minister of Agriculture turns 75, President Buhari hails his passion for agriculture and his knowledge of local and international value chains, which have contributed significantly to laying the foundations and the framework that sparked a revolution, leading to self-realization -sufficiency in food production.

"The President commends Chief Ogbeh for his many political, literary and business achievements, and his willingness to always demonstrate leadership and share his experience."

President Buhari also rejoiced with family members, friends and associates of the political leader, praying for Almighty God to grant him a longer life, good health and the strength to continue to serve the nation.
