Buhari hails Wike's support for legal education in Nigeria

President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday praised Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State for his support of legal education in the country.

Mr. Buhari gave the eulogy during the inauguration of the Nabo Graham Douglas Campus of the Nigerian Law School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

President Buhari, represented by Abubakar Malami, Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, described the new law school as a great marvel, structured to be self-sustaining.

The President said the project, among several others, was undoubtedly an enduring testament to Mr. Wike's commitment to promoting law and development in Rivers State and beyond.< /p>

"I need not engage in poetic verbosity to properly describe the great wonder that is commissioned today.

"The icing on the cake is the fact that this state-of-the-art building and facilities are structured to be self-sustaining through associated revenue streams, as designed by a man of superior vision who is now lovingly referred to as Mr Project,” he said.

Mr. Buhari said he was aware that Mr Wike had extended development initiatives to neighboring Bayelsa State, carrying out multi-billion naira projects including a 900-bed hostel and a 1,500-seat auditorium on the Yenagoa Campus of Nigerian Law. School.

"These are indeed pioneering and unprecedented contributions by a state government to what is ordinarily within the purview of the federal government.

"Wike's dedication to these projects is best appreciated from the perspective that he is a tireless advocate of true federalism in Nigeria," he said.
