Buhari, Osinbajo, Sifax, Dantata, Sultan, Ooni, Governors, for Oluwo book launch

Preparations are well underway to mark the 7th anniversary of the coronation of the Oluwo of Iwoland, Abdulrosheed Akanbi.

The event to be held at the Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos on Monday 16th January will see the unveiling of his book 'Code of Kings' which is said to have been written 'to record a pathway for the black race in the traditional institution”.

Nigerians from all walks of life will grace the occasion, organizers say.

CEO of Peculiar Ultimate Concern Limited, Abel Lanre Adeleke, will chair the event while Taiwo Afolabi, Chairman of Sifax Group will be the chief pitcher.

A statement released by Oluwo through its press secretary, Alli Ibraheem, said other dignitaries expected at the occasion include “President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Muhammed Buhari; its vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo; business tycoon Aminu Dantata; the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa'ad Abubakar; the Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi and Dangote Group Chairman, Aliko Dangote.

Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, Ademola Adeleke of Osun; Seyi Makinde from Oyo; Rotimi Akeredolu from Ondo; Dapo Abiodun from Ogun and Abiodun Oyebanji from Ekiti.

The outgoing governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, and a number of other governors from northern Nigeria are also expected to attend the event, Oluwo said.

Notable Royal Fathers, Federal and State Legislators, Captains of Industry, Friends of Oluwo from Canada, UK, Leading Entrepreneurs, Leading Academics and Senior Journalists are also invited to attend the August event.

"The book will be part of Oluwo's ​​contribution to learning, knowledge and history, with the firm hope that it will correct some distortions in our rich history and liberate Nigerian youth from the mental slavery," the statement read.
