Angel Reese has an unlikely ally...Iowa star Catlin Clark comes to the defense of the newly crowned NCAA champion, saying bluntly, "I don't think there should be any criticism for what she did."

Of course, 21-year-old Clark found herself at the center of the nation's biggest sports story on Monday, after 20-year-old Reese vomited up John Cena's famous "You Can't See Me." in CC's face during the final seconds of Sunday's National Women's Championship game.

Reese was instantly attacked online, with many calling her actions unsportsmanlike. Angel defenders pointed to Caitlin's use of Cena's celebration at the same NCAA tournament. Clark's defenders pointed out that she didn't do it in her opponent's face. And the debate raged on.

But now Clark steps in...and hopefully ends the debate - was Angel right or wrong.

"I think the most important thing is that we are all competitive. We all show our emotions in different ways. Angel is a great player. I have nothing but respect for her. I love her game, the way she bounces the ball, scores the ball is absolutely amazing. I'm a huge fan of her and even the whole LSU team," Clark said in an interview with ESPN.

"Like I said, they played an amazing game, so I don't think there should be any criticism for what she did. Honestly, I didn't see it when the game was going on and like I said, I haven't really been on social media."

FYI, despite the criticism (there was also quite a bit of support), after the game, Reese
