CAN gives APC gubernatorial candidate Folarin in Oyo condition for member support in 2023

The Christian Association of Nigeria has given the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, the condition of his support for membership in 2023.

CAN Coordinator for North Ibadan Local Government Area of ​​Oyo State Reverend Titus Morakinyo gave the condition while receiving an audience to visit the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in his office in Ibadan on Wednesday

He revealed that the party platform would determine the type of support to be given to his candidate for governor in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, in the 2023 general election.

Morakinyo said: "What we need is competent and reliable governance to make everything fall into place, in terms of education, security, social amenities, if there is has good governance, the country will be better.

"If they are ready to serve the people, the people are ready to serve them. CAN has nothing against them except the Muslim-Muslim ticket.

“They should have informed people, accompanied the Christians when they made this decision if they knew they would return, If you recognize important stakeholders, accompany them when there is a question or a decision crucial to do.

"Once the party knows it will be like this, it should have consulted before now."

Teslim assured the association of good governance with the promise not to disappoint Christians and other segments of society.

He said Christians were key players in state politics and promised they would be adequately represented if he won.
