Celer Network shuts down bridge over potential DNS hijacking New

The Celer Network Interoperability Protocol (CELR) has asked its users to revoke approval for several contracts after shutting down its cBridge following a suspected DNS hijack.

According to the project's initial analysis, there was suspicious DNS activity around 7:00 p.m. (UTC) on August 17. However, the platform is still trying to investigate and find out more about the issue at the time of writing.< /p>

Meanwhile, as the platform continues to identify the issue, the team has shut down the cBridge as a first step to prevent further incidents and protect its users. Along with closing the bridge, the platform also warned its users and advised them to revoke token approvals for smart contracts in Ethereum (ETH), Polygon (MATIC), Avalanche (AVAX), Binance Smart Chain, Arbitrum, Astar and Aurora.
