Champions League: I'm not counting on Mane - Bayern Munich coach Julian Nagelsmann
Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann has given an update on striker Sadio Mane's fitness ahead of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie with Paris Saint-Germain on February 14.< /p>
Remember Mane got injured before the 2022 FIFA World Cup break.
The Senegalese international unfortunately missed the tournament in Qatar due to injury.
The former Liverpool and Southampton star has been sidelined since the season resumed as well as after the conclusion of the FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to the media during Bayern Munich's mid-season training camp in Qatar, Nagelsmann said he was not counting on Mane ahead of Bayern's draw with PSG,
Nagelsmann said (via Radio France Internationale):
"He [Sadio Mane] is an important player. When everything goes well, he may be there against Paris [PSG], but we'll see.
"In my head, I'm not counting on him for the first game against Paris."
