Charli XCX has been one of pop's most daring stars for the past 15 years.

His prodigious output - five albums, four mixtapes, three EPs and countless other hits for other artists - has pushed the boundaries of what commercial music can sound like, balancing its undeniable pop instincts with rebellious, alien production.

This versatility has made it possible to straddle two worlds, touring stadiums with Taylor Swift, while cultivating an audience of pop connoisseurs for edgy tracks like Vroom Vroom and the appropriately titled Next Level Charli.

For the first time in her career, Charli let outside writers pitch her ideas and incorporated classic songs into her own compositions (the riffs of Used To Know Me on Robin S's house classic Show Me Love, while Beg For You borrows the melody from September's Cry For You). like, 'OK, if I'm going to do a major label album, major label style, on the last album of my major label deal, then I probably should,'" she says. /p>< figure class="ssrcss-wpgbih-StyledFigure e34k3c23">[embedded content]
