The Fleetwood Mac vocalist and keyboardist announced in a statement the sad news of her passing after being hospitalized with an undisclosed illness. She was with her family when she died. "We kindly ask that you respect the privacy of the family at this extremely painful time, and we would like everyone to hold Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being and a revered musician who was universally loved," the family said in an Instagram post.
