Cocktail of the week: the Corsican spritz from Number Eight | The right blender
Aperol spritz gets a makeover in this long refreshing drink for a hot late summer evening.
Corsica spritzFor 1 p>
30ml Aperol30ml elderflower liqueur – I use St Germain30ml white vermouth – Lillet Blanc or Martini Bianco, preferably 100ml tonic water – I use Fever-Tree Mediterranean1 strawberry, stemmed and sliced, to garnish1 sprig of mint, to garnish
Place Aperol, elderflower liqueur and vermouth in a highball glass, add plenty of ice (cubed or crushed), and mix well. Top with tonic, garnish with strawberry and mint, then sit and enjoy.
