After beating the Tykes for 208, skipper Rory Burns hit 30 on 16 balls as the hosts were doing the 55 needed to win.

Surrey triumph, their first trophy under head coach Gareth Batty, ended in a game against reserve as they won for the eighth time this summer in 13 mat chs unbeaten.

Yorkshire's chances of turning the game around suffered an almost immediate hit when Cameron Steel , surprisingly given the first of the day from Vauxhall End, beat Tom Kohler-Cadmore for 11 with a googly.

Adam Lyth held out for nearly an hour before he and Will Fraine fell in the space of two bullets.

Jordan Clark shredded a back from the seam to topple Fraine before Roach swung one to take it down former England test opener Lyth for 46, caught on the third slide.
