Court dissolves Paul Okoye's marriage to Anita

An Abuja High Court sitting in Maitama has granted a divorce to Anita and her ex-husband, Paul Okoye.

Anita said that cheating, separation, being an absent father, fraud and difficult experiences were her main reasons for filing for divorce.

She also demanded a monthly settlement of $20,000 and a number of mansions from her husband.

Earlier, in her divorce petition signed by her lawyer, Ojonimi Akpe and Okutepa J.S in a High Court in Abuja of the Federal Capital Territory, Maitama, Anita previously claimed that she had contributed N10 million as an agreement with her husband that she would be granted space in the mall he had just completed at Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. However, she accused Paul Okoye of cheating on her.

The petition reads in part: "I know that the petitioner founded a company called TannkCo in 2019.

"That the Claimant and the Respondent agreed to construct a shopping mall where TannkCo would have its main offices, and the Claimant contributed N10,000,000.00 (ten million Naira) towards the purchase of the land and the construction of the shopping center.

“I know as a fact that the respondent, after the completion of the mall, reneged on the agreement and did not give TannkCo space in the mall. »

However, Anita decided to withdraw the claims and elected to settle following the alleged inability to prove all of the claims in her motion to court.

As a result, the court in its judgment granted joint custody of the children to the parties on October 20, 2022.
