Crystal Palace vs Arsenal: Gabriel Jesus to get new role – Arteta
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said Gabriel Jesus will get a different role in his team.
The Gunners brought in Jesus as part of a £45m move from champions Manchester City this summer.
Ahead of their Premier League opener against Crystal Palace, Arteta has now spoken of the Brazilian's quick adaptation and his 'infectious mentality'.
"When you bring in top players from top clubs where they've had huge success over the years, they're going to live up to that expectation.
"Gabriel's role here is going to be very different from the role he had at his old club, which needs adaptation and time.
"He did it fantastically, we're surprised how quickly he did it, but we have to share that responsibility.
"He's a huge talent, a player with such an infectious mentality, and he's going to give us a lot, but it's a team contribution at the end of the day," Arteta said.
