Shorten your break, come back to the music, Bovi, Dakolo urge Davido

Fans of Nigerian music star, David Adeleke aka Davido are not the only ones calling on the singer to put his hiatus on hold and get back to music.

Artists popular in music and comedy circles, including singer Timi Dakolo and stand-up comedian Bovi have led calls for Davido's early return.

The singer had hinted shortly after his performance at the closing ceremony of the World Cup in Qatar that he would start making music again in March.

The break, we learned, was part of his plans to recover from the death of his son Ifeanyi, who drowned in a swimming pool inside the singer's palatial home on Banana Island .

R understood that Davido and his fiancée, Chioma, got married days after the Insurance crooner reportedly traveled East to pay Chioma's bride price and receive his parents' blessings.

Talking about why he couldn't wait for Davido's return, Iyawo Mi crooner Dakolo said he misses the 30 BG boss, describing him as a nice guy.

His counterpart, Bovi also said that whatever Davido does this year, he will surely be number one.

"I don't know the dates. But whatever Davido Dey does this year, I'm in the front row screaming sourly. I miss Davido like a heartbreaking baby."
