Damar Hamlin was not only brought back to life on the field during Monday Night Football, but also when he arrived at the hospital...according to his uncle, who says the heart of Bills' safety is stopped a second time.

Fortunately, the medical staff were able to restart his heart again.

Hamlin's uncle, Dorrian Glenn, spoke to CNN on Tuesday outside the Cincinnati hospital...where he gave an update on his 24-year-old nephew.

"He's still sedated right now," Glenn said. "They just want him to have a better chance of recovering better. So they felt that if he was sedated, his body might recover much faster than if he was awake and possibly lead to further complications."

Glenn said Hamlin is on 50% of a ventilator now...a big improvement from when he started his hospitalization.

Hamlin's uncle added that the former Pittsburgh Panther suffered lung damage...but remained optimistic that he would be able to breathe on his own.
