Dave Bautista says he is "relieved" that his role as Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy is coming to an end.
The professional wrestler turned actor is "grateful" to have played the character in popular Marvel movies but says he doesn't want it to be his "legacy".
Volume 3 hits theaters in May and is expected to be the last in the series.
"Not everything was pleasant. It was difficult to play this role", he said in an interview with GQ Magazine.
Bautista plays the role of an idiot, often socially oblivious, alongside Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel in the film.
He said the grueling makeup process to transform him as a reformed intergalactic criminal "beat me".
"And I just don't know if I want Drax to be my legacy - that's a dumb performance, and I want to do more dramatic things."< /p>
Before acting, Dave enjoyed a successful career with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), rising to fame under his ring name Batista.
