Professional services giant Deloitte is set to boost blockchain tracking capabilities for its clients following a strategic alliance with crypto analytics firm Chainalysis.

Announced at a Chainalysis conference in Washington DC on July 25, the tie-up will see Chainalysis' blockchain datasets, analytics software and training programs help Deloitte clients meet their crypto forensics, investigation and compliance.

A Chainalysis spokesperson told Cointelegraph that the alliance has been in the works for years, with the goal of helping more organizations adopt blockchain technology.

Thomas Stanley, President and Chief Revenue Officer of Chainalysis, said the collaboration is aimed at their mutual customers, including law enforcement, regulators and financial institutions.

“We are starting by focusing on regulators, law enforcement and financial institutions, given their stage of adoption of this technology and the unique overlap of our customer base,” added the spokesperson, noting that it will be introduced to the United States first.

"We're initially rolling it out in the US, but it's something other markets can easily adopt. We're confident other global markets will follow...
