Delta tragedy: CDA candidate sends condolences to PDP and APC
The candidate for Governor of Delta State under the Democratic Action Party platform, Mr. Emmanuel Ogba, has expressed his deep shock and sorrow at the tragic death of the leader of the PDP, Chief Joe Unuame and the boat crash of APC supporters in the state.< /p>
Chief Unuame is believed to have died in a car accident with his driver along Ughelli/Patani road during the PDP's campaign trip to Patani, while two APC supporters died and three are still missing in the a boat accident on their return from the party's campaign rally in Okerenkoko, southwestern Warri region of the state.
Ogba in a message of condolence signed by Director of Communications and Mobilization, ADP Campaign Organization Delta State, Mr. Solomon Igun, Friday in Asaba.
"With deep shock and grief over the tragic death of the PDP leader and APC supporters at the campaign rally, ADP sympathizes with the PDP and APC for this loss
“We express our deepest condolences to the family of Chief Joe Unuame in particular and the Delta State PDP in general and pray that the Almighty will give them comfort and courage to bear the loss.
"In the same vain, we are equally up to the task of candidate for governor of Delta State and vice-president of the Senate, Ovie Omo-Agege and the entire campaign council of the Delta State APC for the loss of their supporters in a boating accident,” the post read. .
Ogba expressed his sincere condolences to the families of the victims and prayed that God would grant them the courage to bear the losses during this difficult time.
