Dogara, Babashir meet IBB and Abdulsalami in Minna for Muslim-Muslim ticket

Former House of Representatives Speaker Yakubu Dogara and former Federation Cabinet Secretary Babachir David Lawal have continued to woo some domestic stakeholders for their rejection of the Muslim presidential and vice-presidential ticket -Muslim of the ruling All Progress Congress (APC).

Dogara and Babachir were accompanied by a former Deputy Governor of Kogi State, Simon Achuba met separately with the former military chairman, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (Retired) at his hilltop residence in Minna, in Niger State and the former Head of State, General Abdusalami Abubakar.

A statement from Dogara media aide Turaki Hassan said the meeting was held on Monday, but relatives of the politicians said they were in Minna to congratulate General IBB on the occasion of his 81st birthday and also to consult him. on their position on the APC Musulmans-Muslims ticket.

Dogara and Babachir Lawal had, during the APC's Northern Christian Forum bid in Abuja, rejected their party's same faith ticket and decided not to campaign for the candidate. Representatives and delegates from the 19 northern states and the Federal Capital Territory vehemently rejected the APC's Muslim-Muslim ticket.
