Dr Dre threatens Marjorie Taylor Greene with legal action over 'Still Dre' tweet
Dr. Dre has just hit out at Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, threatening her with legal action for exploiting her music "to further your divisive and hateful political agenda."
Dre's attorney, Howard King, sent a letter to Greene, saying "Mr. Young [Dre] has not and never will grant you permission to broadcast or broadcast any of his music ."
As we reported, Greene posted a video of herself walking down the floor of the house on Monday, using Dre's song, "Still D.R.E." as a musical bed.
King sent a formal notice to Twitter, asking the company to block his post. Twitter, on the other hand, not only blocked the post... they also locked his Twitter account.
But Dre wasn't done. King's attorney lashed out at her, saying "you would have a passing familiarity with the laws of our country. It is possible, however, that the laws governing intellectual property are a bit too much. obscure and not populist enough that you really spent the hour."
