Idaho murder suspect likely to waive extradition hearing, attorney says

Bryan Kohberger seems inclined not to fight the Idaho authorities who want him in their jurisdiction as soon as possible - but seems confident he will beat the charges...according to his attorney.

Jason LaBar — the attorney handling Kohberger's extradition hearing — told TMZ that his client is, for now, likely to waive his right to have a judge hear his impending transport to the ID...which, if true, would mean Kohberger will be sent back to Latah County next week without further ado - where he would have to enter a plea.

While LaBar notes that Kohberger neither denied nor acknowledged the charges against him – implicitly or explicitly – he said his client told him he thought he would be exonerated, which obviously suggests that 'he thinks he's innocent.

We're told Kohberger and his parents are shocked by his arrest - telling us their home in Pennsylvania was raided by the feds early Friday morning...where they were surrounded by law enforcement and were ordered to comply, which LaBar says Kohberger did without issue.

Part of the reason Kohberger might want to get it over with quickly has to do with the fact that he told his attorney he wasn't on the run. On the contrary, LaBar says Kohberger recounted that he and his father drove a white Hyundai from Washington – where Bryan is currently attending college – back to PA on Dec. 18 … a plan they apparently had all along. /p>
