A man was arrested by detectives investigating allegations of racist behavior during England's win over India at Edgbaston.

The abuse is believed to have been directed at Indian fans by members of the crowd in the Eric Hollies stand on Monday.

West Midlands Police say a 32-year-old man has been arrested for an offense against law and order aggravated by race.

The incident caused Edgbaston to announce "undercover observers" in the crowd to deal with abusive behavior.

The man remains in custody for questioning, the force added.
