England v West Indies: Heather Knight and Lauren Winfield-Hill named in the two white ball teams

Winfield-Hill did not played for England since March, but is recalled after strong domestic performances.

Knight returns to lead the team after undergoing hip surgery.

Versatile Nat Sciver also returns after taking a break in cricket during the summer.

England play three one-day internationals and five T20s against West Indies, their first outing under the new coach Jon Lewis.

Fast bowler Katherine Brunt, 37, is included in the T20 squad but will miss the ODIs as England continue to manage their workload.

Opener Tammy Beaumont, who was dropped from England's T20 squad for the Commonwealth Games , was only selected for the ODI.

England will be boosted by Knight's return after ending his summer with a fourth-place finish in the Commonwealths and a 3-0 series loss to India, where they obviously lacked the experience of Knight and senior players like Brunt and Sciver.

Northern Diamonds' Winfield-Hill also brings high-end experience and solidity to the shorter format, having played 40 T20s for England.

The fly-half recall reflects the growing professionalism of the women's national game, having shone for Oval Invincibles in The Hundred forward leads the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy averages to regain his place in the English configuration.

The tour is probably the only competitive cricket England and West Indies play ahead of the T20 World Cup, which takes place in South Africa in February 2023.
