EPL: Carragher names best club that cannot win title this season

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has admitted it will be 'very difficult' for the Reds to win the Premier League title this season.

Jurgen Klopp's side, who were favorites before this campaign, already look out of the running after winning just two of their first seven games.

Carragher's former team lost to Manchester United and could only get draws against Fulham, Crystal Palace, Everton and Brighton.

As a result, they currently sit ninth in the table, 11 points behind leaders Arsenal with one game less.

"The top teams that notoriously win titles very rarely do what Manchester United teams may have done in the past and are almost waiting for the second half of the season," Carragher told Sky Sports.

"I think those days are over. I think if you go back to [Jose] Mourinho at Chelsea where it was like, 'we came out of the blocks', and United learned at the time that they were to accompany them.

"[Manchester] City are the same and that's why it's a big concern for Liverpool where they find themselves at the moment because once you let the top teams get away from you it's very difficult to get them back."
