EPL: Paul Merson only reveals his concern for Arsenal in title race with Man City

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has revealed his only concern for the Gunners amid their Premier League title run with Manchester City this season.

Merson also urged Arsenal not to slow down in the Premier League title race this term despite holding an eight-point lead over second-placed Man City, who have a game in hand.

According to him, Pep Guardiola's side have often rallied in the points table with consecutive wins.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the start of Arsenal's 0-0 Premier League draw with Newcastle United on Tuesday, Merson said: "Only time will tell. I mean the The team that is chasing them at the moment - Manchester City - have had twelve trotting wins enough times and that's the problem. Manchester City are relentless."

He continued, "They're only a few points behind where I think they were last season, and they still ended up with around 90 points, so if anybody's going to go looking for twelve [wins in a row], that's them. Arsenal just have to keep winning, keep winning. That's a lot of points and I don't care what anyone says."

"It's tough. [Even though Arsenal went] ten points clear, we're still sitting here thinking if they go on and win the league, so, wow, because it's Manchester City. I've seen it too many times. They take twelve straight wins, thirteen wins, fourteen straight wins. Not like win five, shoot one, then win five, they roll them out and it doesn't matter who they play. C is my only concern."
