EPL: You're forgotten Man - Deeney tells Man Utd star, reveals Ten Hag's four major issues

Watford legend Troy Deeney has revealed the four major challenges manager Erik ten Hag faces at Manchester United.

He said the Old Trafford boss was 'convinced' by only one of his defenders at the club.

The former Watford man further described Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka as a forgotten man but advised the player to stay at the club as long as he is paid.

Manchester United suffered their heaviest defeats under Ten Hag against Brentford and Manchester City.

They have won seven of his 11 games overall.

Deeney believes that one of Ten Hag's problems is that defender Lisandro Martinez is the only one available to him that he is "completely convinced of".

Deeney told The Sun: "Clearly he [Ten Hag] has serious reservations about his backline, with Lisandro Martinez being the only defender he's fully convinced of.

"We don't yet know if Casemiro knows about it and if he is 'the answer' to United's long-standing problem in midfield, and up front, it's clear that Ten Hag hasn't not opted for the central striker or wide- the left player he wants.

"And then there is the problem of offloading so many good players, with very good incomes, who did not convince at Old Trafford.

"If I was in the position of someone like Aaron Wan-Bissaka - who could end up a forgotten man - I would probably sit still, knowing that I am well paid. Most players would."< /p>
