Etsu Nupe, Dr. Abubakar becomes President of Digital Space Capital
Etse Nupe of Niger State, His Royal Highness Dr. Yahaya Abubakar has become the new Chairman of an investment organization, Digital Space Capital.
The monarch said so during the unveiling of Digital Space Capital's new corporate governance structure on Sunday in Lagos.
In his speech at the unveiling ceremony before today in Lagos, The Paramount Ruler said he could play an advisory role.
He added that efforts could be made to ensure this goes hand in hand with government policies.
"The employer is something we usually love and defend.
“I will play an advisory role. We will see that this agency fits within government rules,” he said.
Speaking also, Ooni from Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi said the involvement of traditional leaders in any endeavor is usually successful.
Ogunwusi defined kings as natural leaders and rulers, noting that they reached the peak of their careers before entering the traditional space.
According to him, there are professors, engineers, accountants and so many others among them who are successful.
"We usually excel in an area they name us for. Anything you involve the conventional leaders is always successful.
"We recognize that we are herbal masters. We are leaders in herbal medicine.
“We have kings who have reached the peak of their profession. We have engineers among us,” he said
He defined the CEO as dynamic and very professional, very exceptional, focused and precise.
"I am very proud to be associated with the organization. The company started thanks to a young, dynamic and professionally driven girl.
"She's great, focused, unique," he said.
In her initial comments, Managing Director Bukola Abitoye noted that the company's Digikolo platform has over 50,000 subscribers.
She, therefore, expressed her gratitude to the Ooni of Ife, the President of the Trading Company and others who graced the occasion.
