Eurovision 2023: seven British cities shortlisted to organize a song contest

The list of UK cities that could host next year's Eurovision Song Contest has been revealed, with seven cities vying.
Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield will compete to host the event in May.
Twenty cities have expressed interest, the city said BBC, and those not on the shortlist include London and Belfast.
The UK was chosen to host the competition after organizers decided it could not be hosted by Ukraine, the winners of 2022.
British singer Sam Ryder finished second in this year's competition in Turin, Italy.
