Ex-Suns GM, UT Legend Lance Blanks has died by suicide, daughter says

Former Phoenix Suns general manager Lance Blanks has committed suicide...his daughter has revealed.
In a moving article Riley Blanks Reed wrote for ESPN on Tuesday morning...she announced that Lance took his own life last Wednesday.
"People will want more information," Blanks Reed said of his father's death. "But the thing is, we'll never really know why. And we don't need to. All we have to do is remember him, honor him, celebrate him, and pour our love into the family that made him happy."
Lance was 56 years old.

In her letter, Blanks Reed reminisces about all the good times she had with her father...remembering him as "my person, my idol, my teacher, my best friend and my confidant."< /p>
“He understood everything for me,” she said.
Lance played at Univ. from Texas from 1988 to 1989 - and had two such great seasons there that he was inducted into the school's Hall of Honor in 2007.
