FG ready to evacuate Nigerian students stranded in Sudan, says Dabiri-Erewa

The Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has revealed that the Federal Government is ready to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Sudan

While noting that the FG is making “significant progress”, she added that every Nigerian student in the North African country now has a point of contact.

She warned against mobilization efforts by the National Association of Nigerian Students involving the generation of funds to facilitate the transport of Nigerian students to the North African country away from their campuses.

The PUNCH reports that Air Peace, a private airline in Nigeria, has revealed that it is ready to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Sudan, North East Africa, free of charge, if the federal government can get them to a safe and secure airport in one of the neighboring countries. Sudan border.

This was revealed in a statement from the airline's Chairman and CEO, Allen Onyema, on Monday.
