FG should seek UN intervention to address security threat

The Senior Pastor of CAC Oke Ayo, Iseyin, Oyo State, Pastor Paul OlusolaAderoju has called on the federal government to seek the intervention of the United Nations (UN) to address the security challenges facing the country and fight terrorism, killings, kidnappings and banditry to move Nigeria forward.

Pastor Aderoju, who led the thanksgiving service marking the church's Greater Joy Convention held at the church auditorium, Oke Idaho, Iseyin, Oyo State, also called on President Muhammadu Buhari to create jobs and ensure a viable economic environment for the economy to thrive. The cleric also commended Governor SeyiMakinde for transforming Oyo State in all sectors. He praised church members for their support and commitment to church growth.

The President of the occasion and the Oniro of Komuland, His Royal Majesty, Oba Jonah Awujoola, commended the church for spreading the gospel, while urging them to always be filled with the spirit in accordance with the this year's convention theme labeled, "The Holy Spirit".

The guest pastor, Pastor (Dr) Henry Ojo, in his sermon, emphasized the importance of the Holy Spirit, including sustainability, spiritual battle, and the acceleration of spiritual duties and obligations as he called people to strive for the gift of the Holy Spirit.

In his remarks, the special guest of honor at the event and Chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, MrDayoOgungbenro, expressed his delight at the progress made by CAC Oke- Ayo, Iseyin, urging the church member to step forward in faith and service to God.

The week-long convention included intensive prayer sessions, symposia, seminars, lectures and quiz competitions. CAC Oke-Ayo, Iseyin was established in 1993 and has about 25 branches in Nigeria and abroad.
