Gina Rodriguez welcomes her first child with husband Joe LoCicero
Gina Rodriguez is officially a mom! A rep for Rodriguez confirmed to POPSUGAR that the "Not Dead Yet" star has welcomed her first child. She and husband Joe LoCicero have yet to reveal the baby's name or gender.
Neither Rodriguez nor her husband have yet shared details surrounding the arrival of their newborn baby. However, the actress posted a carousel of herself "over 40 weeks" pregnant on her Instagram account on January 27. #StopAskingMyDueDate Let's bet on which comes first, the TV show or the baby?!?!?"
Rodriguez first announced that she was expecting her 38th birthday on Instagram last July. She shared a sweet video of moments throughout the year, which culminated with her revealing a positive pregnancy test. "This birthday is different," she wrote at the time.
Rodriguez and LoCicero are first-time parents. The couple first met on the set of 'Jane the Virgin'. LoCicero also appeared in his wife's films, "Miss Bala" and "Someone Great".
In a January interview with The New York Times, she shared that Mumford & Sons would be high on her birth playlist. "I have a playlist of songs to listen to when I give birth. Several Mumford & Sons songs are on the playlist, including 'Little Lion Man', 'Awake My Soul' and 'I Will Wait'," he said. she stated. "They sing like they're connected to the center of the universe. It makes me feel a sense of closeness to my ancestors, even though that's not the kind of music they listened to."
It is not yet known if the group may have also inspired the actor when it came to naming his first child.
