Glamorgan Cricket: Marnus Labuschagne & Michael Neser back against Durham

 Michael Neser
Location: Sophia Gardens, Cardiff Date: Thursday, April 20 Time : 11.00am BST coverage: commentary and reporting on the BBC Sport website and app; updates on BBC Radio Wales and BBC Radio Newcastle.

Neser is not included in the first game of the Ashes series against England but is available for the second game.

They will face Australian Durham spinner Matt Kuhneman.

"It's nice to be back in my second home now, I have so many good friendships here, and to be back at the training for my first successes on the grass in about four weeks. I'm really excited," said Labuschagne, whose last action dates back to Australia's Test series defeat in India in March.

"My goal is only to win matches for Glamorgan in any way possible, if it contributes to setting up games by the hundreds or getting 50 or 60 in the fourth inning. I'm just looking to win games with the ball or with the bat."

Labuschagne has featured for Glamorgan in every season since 2019 apart from the 2020 Covid-cut campaign, while fellow Queenslander Neser is in his third season with the Welsh county.

They were joined by a host of Australian players in or just outside the Ashes squad, including Steve Smith at Sussex.

Kuhnemann is just weeks out of his spell at Durham but took five wickets in the second leg of their win over Worcestershire.

"Me and Matt are very close, he was great and I was very proud that he was able to win this game in the fourth inning, but we'll be looking to put some pressure on him here" , Labuschagne told BBC Sport Wales.

"I can't wait for that one [against Smith] , it will be a lot of fun. This is Steve's first outing in county cricket but the caliber of player he is, he won't have any problems. It's an interesting contest so I'll have to throw it first, hopefully it tries to hit me for six and hits one straight.

"There's a lot of stock here, it's been a nice Ashes streak because you've got guys you can grab right away if someone goes down It's great for Australia, I don't know how En...
