Gombe: Mailantarki distributes 50 cars, 500 motorcycles to NNPP executives, others

Khamisu Mailantarki, candidate for Governor of the New Nigerian People's Party of Gombe State (NNPP) in 2023, has distributed 50 cars and 500 motorbikes to party officials and supporters across the state. Speaking at his residence in Gombe where the items were distributed, Mailantarki said he simply appreciated the support of his party members in the state. According to him, his quest to govern Gombe is aimed at liberating the people from bad governance under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) party. He added that the gesture was aimed at boosting the morale of party members, especially helping the NNPP to carry the message of hope to nooks and crannies of the state ahead of the election. Mailantaki said, “We are not yet in government, but we feel indebted to the support we consistently receive from our party leaders and supporters across the state and this gesture is a modest recognition and appreciation of the efforts individual and collective beneficiaries. "I'm used to it," he said, recalling, "When I was in the House of Representatives, I handed out cars, tricycles and motorcycles, which no one reproduced until until today."

The gubernatorial candidate appealed to other NNPP members not included in the empowerment to be patient as other empowerment programs are underway. In response, the NNPP state chairman, who also benefited, praised Mailantarki, instructing his co-beneficiaries to make proper use of the items. He promised that party officials would redouble their efforts to promote the party to ensure that Mailantarki wins the state next year.
